Veo is a Copenhagen-based startup that develops AI-powered video technology which enables football clubs of all sizes to automatically record, edit, and stream their matches and training sessions, eliminating the need for a camera operator.
Record matches without a camera operator
The Veo camera mount consists of two 4K cameras encased within a 3D-printed box, positioned on a four-metre tripod just outside the pitch’s halfway line. The cameras record a 180-degree panoramic of the full pitch, stitching the two cameras’ videos together, with no manual filming required.
AI post-production detects where the action is
Veo then automatically edits and produces the video, with patent-pending advanced image recognition and machine learning technology detecting where the ball is throughout the match. The resulting video pans, tracks, and zooms in on goals and other important highlights, mirroring how a camera operator would film a professional football match.
